Polycarbonate, commonly abbreviated PC, is a strong thermoplastic resin, usually produced from bisphenol A and phosgene, but now also developed without the use of phosgene production methods, and has been industrialized in the early 1960s and mass industrial production in the late 1990s. It is now the second most produced engineering plastic after polyamide. Its name comes from its internal CO3 group.

Polycarbonate sheet is a new type of sunlight panel, and its excellent performance makes it the first choice of sunroom roofing material.
1. Light transmittance: Polycarbonate sunlight panel has a maximum light transmittance of 89%, which is comparable to glass. UV coated panel will not produce yellowing, fogging and poor light transmittance when exposed to sunlight, and the light transmittance loss is only 6% after ten years, while the pvc loss rate is as high as 15%-20% and 12%-20% for fiberglass.
2. Impact resistance: impact strength is 250-300 times the ordinary glass, 30 times the same thickness of acrylic panels, is 2-20 times the tempered glass, with a 3kg hammer down two meters without cracks, there is "unbreakable glass" and "ringing steel" reputation.
